Talk to a NEXT Mission Leader and determine the best location and date for your trip the following year (Ex: Spring 2012 for Summer 2013 trip).

Turn in your Group Agreement which includes determining the best day and time for your Fall ‘Student & Parent Info Meeting’ (SPIM).

Promote, Promote, Promote….your trip with a focus on strong participation in the Student & Parent Info Meeting (SPIM) in early Fall. Recruit adult leaders (1 adult for every 4 students according to gender) to go on the trip and attend the SPIM (see online promotional materials).

Host the SPIM….then, keep the registration and payment deadlines in front of your parents and students. Encourage them in the support raising process as they use the tools given by NEXT.

Put your Pre-Trip Training dates on the calendar. Get the dates on your students and parents calendars. Stress the importance of great spiritual and practical preparation. Your NEXT Worldwide Mission Leader will deliver prep supplies to you and will walk you through how to use the Pre-Trip Training videos.

Lead Pre-Trip Mission Training. Don’t let students, parents and adult leaders treat it as an option. Lead them to make this a high priority to both meet and prepare. Encourage, encourage, encourage your mission team in their spiritual and practical preparation!

Host the Pre-Trip meeting for trip participants and parents. NEXT will provide all the information and final trip supplies to get your group on the field. A NEXT Worldwide Mission Leader can lead the meeting live or via Skype, depending on location.

Head out on mission! Make sure your group is at the airport on time (if flying). Let the NEXT staff serve you this week as you minister.
