NEXT’s focus in Ecuador centers in and around the capital city of Quito. We are in our 11th year of partnership with a missionary named Ron Sutton. Part of our strategic vision for this area focuses on the northern part of Quito with a network of church planters.
Quito opened a new airport a few years ago on the plateau located just north outside of the city. Ron’s objective is to establish churches in this area now so that in the next several years, as this area grows, there will already be churches ready and waiting to meet the spiritual needs of the people moving there.
In addition to working on the plateau, NEXT is also working in the northeast and southeast areas of Quito to plant and strengthen churches where there is little to no gospel witness.
